Pottstown In Focus Short Film Festival is an event soliciting short film submissions from entrants across the country and around the world. Entries must be 30 minutes or less. Top prize will be awarded to the entry which places Pottstown at the center of the composition, highlighting Pottstown as a setting or subject-Pottstown, Pennsylvania, a town with renewed focus.
The festival takes place over three days:
Thursday, Nov. 9, 5-7 pm
The festival kicks off at Montgomery County Community College's Pottstown University Center with select screenings accompanied by live jazz, Sly Fox Beer, cocktails and of course popcorn! The Schuylkill River Heritage Area's video "Stay Active" will be featured.
"Stay Active" is a brand new video that was produced this summer by The Strive Initiative, in partnership with Centro Cultural Latino Unidos.
Friday Nov. 10, 6-8 pm:
The festival moves to the Hill School with a special screening of last year's winning films "The Prodigy" and "Pine Tree". Stick around for a Q&A with the film's creators-Adam Evans, David Traverso and Maxwell Scott.
Saturday Nov. 11, 5-7 pm:
All are invited to dress up and step out for an evening of art and entertainment, and enjoy the winning films on the big screen.
