This exceptional experience of interactive programs will expose children to three different aspects of early life in Berks County. Students aged 6-12 will explore the Berks County Heritage Center and its surrounding area. St
Tuesday, July 18, is Exploring Cultures of the Past! Students learn about archaeology digs and Native American cultures, games and cooking. They'll explore the Deppen Cemetery and discover the people buried there, and how they can create their own family tree.
Wednesday, July 19, is Canal Life, Games, and Art of the Past! Explore some of the games that were played in the past, and get a chance to make your own jump rope. Then try your hand at an art project that was used to decorate chests.
The camp will come to end on Thursday, July 19, with Life on the Farm. Get a chance to learn about plowing and create bees wax candles. Then, join us as we explore the Gruber Wagon Works to learn the science and technology behind how wagons were built.
Class size is limited to 20 campers aged 6-12. The cost of this wonderful program is $45 for all three days. Registration is required and can be completed by calling Berks Co. Heritage Center at 610-374-8839. The registration deadline is July 10.
