PHOTO CONTEST THEME

Take a fall-themed or Halloween photo on the Schuylkill River Trail then enter the contest for a chance to win awesome prizes. The photo can include scenery, adults or children. Anyone out on the Schuylkill River Trail in a Halloween costume or dressed for the fall season can snap a picture to submit into the contest. People out for a walk among the changing leaf colors and other signs of fall can get a photo then enter it. The photo must be taken on the Schuylkill River Trail.  People can submit more than one photo but will only be entered in the raffle drawing ONCE. The photo must be entered through the online form below by 11:45 PM Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020. The photo must be in jpg or png format. 

THE WINNING PRIZE!

Everyone who enters a photo into the contest will be included in a raffle drawing for a Schuylkill Explorers Activity Kit and a Picnic Bundle. The prize will be available for pickup at the Schuylkill River Greenways office in Pottstown after the winner has been announced. The winner can also decide to have the prize sent through the mail but a $10 shipping fee will be required.

Schuylkill Explorers Activity Kit

The Schuylkill Explorers kit will educate families living within the Schuylkill River Watershed about the importance of watershed health in a fun way as well as give families a chance to grow a connection to nature in any environment.

What is in this kit?

There are four experiments with materials included

  1. Plant Growth: seeds, soil, biodegradable pots
  2. Make Your Own Watershed: ground coffee, sugar, jello mix, Ziploc bag
  3. Groundwater: small mason jar, ground coffee, sugar, jello mix
  4. Soil pH: small mason jars, soil, vinegar, baking soda

There is exploring equipment:

  • Outdoor Explorer Skills Handbook
  • Small compass
  • Binoculars
  • Magnifying Glass
  • Wildlife key and identification cards
  • Colored pencils
  • Pocket-sized journal

Picnic Bundle

The Picnic Bundle includes several items perfect for a fun indoor or outdoor gathering.

Items in the bundle include:

  • A large picnic blanket with a water-resistant layer. The portable blanket is great for camping on grass or for a fun time on the living room floor.
  • A set of 8 eco-friendly metal straws. The straws are perfect for a variety of drinks including juices, smoothies, expressos and more. The set includes 4 straight straws and 4 bent straws.

  1. The photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
  2. Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channel.
  3. Entries not submitted through the proper channel will be deleted.
  4. Entries will be entered into a random drawing to select the winner. 
  5. Schuylkill River Greenways reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.
  6. By entering the contest, entrants agree that the photo submitted can be used by Schuylkill River Greenways.
  7. Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
  8. The winner will be contacted via the email address provided during entry. If no response is received after 14 business days, a new winner will be selected and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.
