Get ready for the last spring kickoff event with our friends on the northern end of the heritage area! 

This event will start at the Auburn Trail Head and will travel down to the intersection with River Rd. There will be a variety of tasks will be completed including plantings, trail trimming, and general trail and area improvements. With the Auburn Gap closing soon we hope to raise the trail section to the standards equivalent to other sections of the SRT. Updates on the SRT including the Auburn gap will be given at the beginning of the event.

Food will be provided and will act as a break from work and will be served around noon. Food will include water as a beverage, and various types of pizza severed at the trail head itself. We also ask that if individuals are able to bring their own basic hand tools such as loppers, handsaws, etc. to the event that you please do. SRG will be able to provide some of the necessary tools however due to the size of the event it may be that some will be left without proper tools for the tasks assigned. Gloves and safety glasses will be provided if needed or wanted.

Everyone who intends to participate in the event will be required to fill out waiver required before the day of the event. If you are not able to fill out the waiver online some will be provided the day of the event.
