Part-Time Development and Communications Consultant

SRG is in the midst of a multi-year fundraising campaign to raise a $5 million Stewardship Fund to pay for large scale maintenance projects on the Schuylkill River Trail. We have conducted a thorough and thoughtful feasibility study and have a detailed implementation plan. The fundraising effort is spearheaded by a Stewardship Fund Campaign Committee and by the Resource Strategy Committee, made up of board members, staff members and volunteers. We are seeking support for this effort, including marketing, public relations and communications and other development-related tasks. The position will report to the Executive Director and Development and Events Manager, but will also work collaboratively with other staff professionals and the Stewardship Committee and the Resource Strategy Committee.
SRG is seeking to fill this position with a part-time consultant with experience in fundraising and development and strong PR, communications, marketing and data management skills. Time commitment will average 10 to 15 hours per week, with some weeks demanding more and others less. Pay will be in the $15 to $20/hr range, depending on experience. Successful applicant will be paid as an independent contractor on an hourly basis.
This is an in-person position at SRG’s Pottstown location and potentially on location in communities surrounding the Schuylkill River Trail.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Microsoft Access
- Experience with data management software systems, particularly Donor Perfect
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in creating marketing materials for fundraising campaigns
- Experience in developing communication campaigns utilizing social media
- Must be able to work independently, but also be comfortable with collaborative working relationships, relating well with people and partners at all levels and from all communities
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment
This position is an hourly contractor, with pay range of $15-$20 per hour dependent on experience.

SRG Capacity Building VISTA Summer Associate-AmeriCorps

The Summer Associate will focus on capacity building activities that produce internal planning resources, documentation tools and community engagement materials. Duties may include compiling market research summaries, developing workforce resource inventories, creating community asset maps, organizing environmental drafting partnership coordination frameworks, designing planning templates and resource guides, and assisting with public-facing informational workshops, outreach
campaigns, or site observations.
The Summer Associate will expand SRG’s engagement in Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties by producing a weekly short-form educational video series focused on watershed education, trail access, recreation, and conservation in those counties. The member will research, film, and edit videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok while tracking engagement metrics. They will also assist with environmental education programs, increasing organizational capacity to serve more youth in the watershed. The Associate will build community partnerships, represent SRG at programs and events, and strengthen connections between residents and the Schuylkill River and Trail.

- United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien
- At least 17 years of age
- Has received a high school diploma or equivalency certificate; or has not dropped out of elementary or secondary school to enroll as an AmeriCorps participant, and agrees to obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent prior to using the education award
- Agrees to provide information to establish eligibility and to complete a National Service Criminal History Check.

- Living Allowance of $957.46 (taxable) every other week.
- Typically, this position is expected to serve full-time, 35-40 hours per week, butexact service schedules may vary. A half hour lunch break will not be counted towards AmeriCorps service
