Schuylkill River Greenways’ Response to COVID-19

In light of the evolving COVID-19 health situation, Schuylkill River Greenways is taking several measures to help protect our participants and staff.  The Schuylkill River Greenways office is closed until further notice. Schuylkill River Greenways events taking place in the next upcoming weeks have been either cancelled or postponed. State and regional officials will continue to evaluate options and communicate updates. As these updates become known to the public, Schuylkill River Greenways will send announcements to our followers through our newsletter, the SRG website and our social media pages.

Earlier today, Governor Tom Wolf and Montgomery County Commissioners announced that the business community of the county are asked to have employees work remotely from home whenever possible.

“In Montgomery County, we are aggressively moving to a mitigation phase, and statewide we are providing guidance to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” said Gov. Wolf in a press release statement.

The Schuylkill River Greenways office is located in Pottstown, a borough of Montgomery County. Due to these recent announcements, The Schuylkill River Greenways office will be closed for 14 days starting tomorrow, March 13. All Schuylkill River Greenways events taking place in the next two weeks have been cancelled.

CANCELLED SRG EVENTS

  • Wharton Esherick Museum Tour scheduled for March 13, 2020
  • Pottsgrove Manor Tour scheduled for March 20, 2020

During those 14 days, the state and Montgomery County will evaluate options and continue to communicate updates. As these updates become known to the public, Schuylkill River Greenways will send announcements to our followers through this website, the SRG Newsletter newsletter, and our social media pages.
