For your safety, Pennsylvania law does not allow boat traffic between the buoy line and the Norristown Dam.

The pool of the Norristown Dam extends upriver for 4.3 miles to the US-422 Bridge, Sullivan’s Bridge, and Betzwood Access (RM 28.3). You can paddle to the other side of Barbadoes Island by going around the upriver end of the island, but there is no passage allowed between the downstream end of the island and the dam. Check current water level at USGS gauge #01473500 (Norristown): Min. 7.9 ft; Good 7.9 ft.
