Ride away for the weekend.

Two days. One overnight. Roughly 40 miles of the Schuylkill River Trail. And no worrying about how to get yourself, your bike or your luggage back to where you started.

SRT Cycle & Stay turns a great bike ride into a weekend adventure, using our new Schuylkill River Trail Ride Guides to help you find places to stop, eat, and sleep.

You’ll park in Valley Forge and then take a shuttle with your bike to Reading. Ride from Reading to Pottstown on Saturday, have dinner at one of the downtown’s restaurants, spend the night in Pottstown at the lodging of your choice, then wake up Sunday, and continue along the Schuylkill River Trail back to Valley Forge.

You choose where you stay, eat and stop along the way. Schuylkill River Greenways and Take It Outdoors take care of the transportation, luggage and bicycle support.

All for just $50 per person.

How it works

Your adventure begins Saturday morning at Valley Forge National Historical Park. Park your car there, load your bike and luggage onto our shuttle and relax while we transport you and your bike to Reading.

Then the weekend is yours.

Saturday: Ride approximately 19 miles from Reading to Pottstown on the Schuylkill River Trail. Explore along the way, stop for lunch, and arrive in Pottstown at your own pace. While you ride, we’ll make sure your luggage is safely delivered to your lodging.

Spend Saturday evening enjoying Pottstown, then get some rest for Day Two.

Sunday: Check out, get back on the trail and ride 20+ miles from Pottstown to Valley Forge, including the new trail connection near Pottstown that has now made it possible to bike 70 miles nonstop from Reading to Philadelphia.

When you arrive at Valley Forge National Historical Park, your car will be waiting where you left it, and we’ll meet you there with your luggage.

No backtracking. No second car. No riding with an overnight bag strapped to your bike. Just two days on the trail.

Cycle & Stay

Make the weekend your own

This is a self-guided adventure, so there’s no group itinerary telling you when to pedal, eat or explore.

Our new Schuylkill River Trail Ride Guides can help you plan both days, with trailheads, points of interest, trail-friendly businesses, places to eat and other useful information along your route.
