Celebrate Earth Day and SRT Ale with a Lock 60 Cleanup at the Schuylkill Canal Association. Volunteers will be cleaning and mulching flower beds around the locktender’s house as well as picking up litter in the area. Afterwards, join the party with the Spreekend Music Festival at the adjoining St. Michael’s Park. There will be live music, smoked barbecue and more! Cleanup volunteers aged 21 & over will get a voucher for a free SRT Ale to be used at the SRT Spree festival in Mont Clare or the Sly Fox Tastin’ Room in Pottstown.

This is one of two Earth Day trail cleanups Schuylkill River Greenways is organizing in partnership with Sly Fox Brewery as part the the annual SRT SPREE — a yearly celebration of the trail and SRT Ale. A portion of the proceeds from SRT Ale supports Schuylkill River Greenways by helping to promote, improve and maintain the Schuylkill River Trail. In addition to the trail cleanups during the SRT Spree, events include a group bike ride, 50K relay race on the trail and a Spreekend Music Festival at the Schuylkill Canal Lock 60 in Mont Clare. LEARN MORE
