The Pedal & Paddle is back for the 2019 summer season and with a twist. This year, the round-trip excursion will be part of a new series called Trails on Tap, a mobile pop-up beer garden at riverside locations. After pedaling and paddling, participants can enjoy the beer garden which includes food & beverage trucks, comfortable seating, restrooms and more!
Must be 16 or older to participate. All events limited to 15 participants.
This Pedal & Paddle excursion is the perfect activity for the weekend following Independence Day. After viewing fireworks on July 4th, continue celebrating history with an adventure that begins and ends at Valley Forge National Historical Park (Betzwood Picnic Area). At Betzwood, the group will receive a breif introduction to kayaking from outfitter Take it Outdoors Adventures before paddling along the river to Norristown Riverfront Park. In Norristown, participants will stop to enjoy provided refreshments then return to Betzwood Picnic Area through a short bike ride along the Schuylkill River Trail lead by Riverbend Cycles.
