About this Event

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Dinner: $13

Ceremony & Dinner Details

Every registration includes an invite to the ceremony and dinner which will begin 4:30 p.m. on June 3, 2021. Join Schuylkill River Greenways and others to celebrate the newly renovated Port Clinton Park Landing in Schuylkill County. The previous steep, eroding path at this landing has been transformed into a concrete and asphalt ramp for easier access to the river. The landing also has new parking with the capacity for 22 cars, a new gravel drive from the parking area to the ramp, new fencing, a new entrance gate, new signage, and new trees in the area.

Join this event to see first-hand all these wonderful improvements and help SRG celebrate the achievement with an official ribbon cutting. After the ribbon cutting, all participants will enjoy a delicious cheesesteak dinner provided by the Port Clinton Fire Company. A vegetarian cheesesteak option is also available.  The cost to attend the ceremony and dinner is $13 per person.

Paddle the River to Port Clinton: $38

Doug Chapman, owner of Your Switzerland Vacation and the former owner of Take It Outdoors Adventures, will be one of the certified guides leading the group paddle!

Registrations include the option to add a 7.5-mile group paddle from the Auburn (PA-895) Landing to Port Clinton Park. All paddlers will meet 12:15 p.m. the day of the event at Port Clinton Park. SRG is providing shuttle services for participants and their boats/gear to be transported from Port Clinton to the Auburn Landing where the paddle will begin. Children aged 8 and older are able to participate in this group paddle. The cost to add the paddle to your registration is an additional $38 per person.
