Doberstein Campsite
Primitive campsite. No road access, parking, electricity, water, or toilet. Paddle, pedal, or hike in. Schuylkill River Trail.
The Fred J. Doberstein Overlook Campsite, perched above the river, is a public, first-come-first-served wooded site with a stone fire ring, picnic tables, and space for 2 to 4 tents. There is access from the river via a path and wooden staircase (an Eagle Scout project) and also from the Schuylkill River Trail, which runs right along its southern edge. Please carry out trash, do not cut standing trees, and limit your stay to a maximum of 2 nights.
