About this Event

As part of this year’s SRT Spree Celebration, join the Schuylkill Canal Earth Day Cleanup, Saturday and Sunday, April 23rd & April 24th, 10 AM to 2 PM. Meet at lower end of Canal in the Longford Road Trailhead parking lot, 100 Longford Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Sponsored by the Schuylkill Canal Association, Schuylkill River Greenway Association, Montgomery County and Upper Providence Township Park & Recreation as part of the Great American Clean-Up / Keep PA Beautiful program. Participants should bring along their own working gloves and small hand / gardening tools if available. Otherwise SCA will provide gloves, trash bags and a limited number of tools to hand out.  Montgomery County will provide a dumpster to properly dispose of all trash materials collected. Water and snack bars will be available to all participants.

This will be a rain or shine event, so dress accordingly. Montgomery County Volunteer waivers will need to be signed by all volunteers. Pre-registration is requested for needed supply numbers. Whatever amount of time you can volunteer will be appreciated; participants of all ages are welcome.
