Always use caution and scout ahead when approaching problem areas.

Two old railroad bridge piers remain in the river here. Hazardous debris collects on both sides of the RL pier and, typically, the water is shallow around the RR pier. The best route through this area is usually diagonally (right to left) in the left center of the main channel between the piers.
