CAUTION: You cannot safely run the Norristown Dam (0.5 mile ahead) and there is no portage around it from the RL side of Barbadoes Island. If you plan to paddle through, you can go back to the head of the island, down the RR channel to the Upper Merion Boathouse, then portage around the dam from there.
