This introductory Pedal & Paddle program is great for beginners! It’s a round-trip adventure which begins and ends from the same location along the Schuylkill River/Trail

About this Event

Must be 16 or older to participate. This event is limited to 15 participants.

Kayak Along the River 

The adventurous activity will begin from the Bridgeport Water Landing. Use Frosty Falls 96 Dekalb St., Bridgeport 19405 for GPS then continue on Water St. to the landing. At this location, the group will receive a brief introduction to kayaking from Take it Outdoors, before paddling about 3 miles to Conshohocken along the Schuylkill River

 Ride on the Trail

After the takeout in Conshohocken, participants will receive a bicycling introduction then ride on the Schuylkill River Trail back to Bridgeport using bicycles from the free Pottstown-based bike share program.

Food, Gear, & Guides

Food will be provided. All gear, such as bicycles and boats, are included. If you have a special request for a boat, please contact Take It Outdoors Adventures directly at t the email noah@takeitoutdoorsadventures.com or call 610-656-3969. Certified guides will lead the group bike ride and paddle.

More Details

All participants will be required to wear the provided personal flotation device. Regardless of skill level, everyone will receive a safety briefing before beginning the excursion. Participants must register in advance. A meal, guides, bike, boat and all other gear are included with each registration. The cost is $43 per person.

All participants will need to sign a Schuylkill River Greenways Waiver and a Take It Outdoors Adventures Waiver. Parents or guardians will need to complete the waiver for anyone under 18 years old. These waivers can be signed electronically, and MUST be completed by noon on Sept. 15, 2021. If you don’t sign the electronic waivers by this time, you will need to complete them in person on the day of the event. Anyone who doesn’t complete the waivers will not be able to participate.
