Schuylkill River Greenways is home to BikePottstown/BikeSchuylkill, a community bike share program that gets free bikes into the community and people onto the Schuylkill River Trail and the Pottstown Community. Riders 16 and up can check out a free bike from the Schuylkill River Greenways office at Riverfront Park in Pottstown.
To borrow a bike, just stop in the SRG office, fill out a form, leave your drivers’ license or state issued with us and take off on your rental bike! Bikes are available daily Monday to Friday beginning at 9am. Bikes can be used for an hour or all day, but all bikes must be returned to our office by 4pm the same day.
During the summer season, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, visitors can also borrow a free bike from our partner organization, Take it Outdoors. Look for their vibrant green trailer headquarters in Riverfront Park, Pottstown and get more information from their website!
The Bike Pottstown/Bike Schuylkill free bike share promotes bicycling as a safe, healthy form of physical fitness, exercise and recreation and encourages an alternate form of transportation around town.
