Pennypacker Mills offers a unique opportunity to experience the pleasures of country life in the 1900’s when the Governor of Pennsylvania lived across the Perkiomen Creek from the Borough of Schwenksville. As the private residence of Gov. Samuel W. Pennypacker (1903-1907), and the Pennypacker family since 1747, the historic site is filled with original antiques and artifacts that are a reflection of the Governor’s interest in Pennsylvania and family history.
Operated by the County of Montgomery, guided tours of the mansion are FREE, with a suggested donation of $2 per person. The Servant area is a recent addition to the tour.
