CAUTION: A tree has fallen into the river left opening of the Titus Wing Dam (at River Mile 71.3), causing a hazardous strainer situation in this strong current. Until this hazard is removed, DO NOT attempt to run this chute! Portage on river right around the dam. (February 22, 2023)

In 1991, DVOA became the largest of the over 70 clubs affiliated with the United States Orienteering Federation (USOF). DVOA currently has approximately 700 members. DVOA’s primary goals are to promote orienteering through educational programs and provide a variety of quality orienteering experiences for people in eastern Pennsylvania, northern Delaware, northern Maryland and central and southern New Jersey. DVOA holds approximately 45 orienteering events a year at various local, state, national parks, and environmental centers in the area. These events are open to the public and DVOA always provides instruction for beginners.
