As an interim measure the SRT between Reading and Hamburg will be routed along the Union Canal Trail between Reading and Blue Marsh Lake. Union Canal Trail is accessed at Stonecliffe Park in Reading. Stonecliffe Recreation Area provides opportunities for family-oriented recreation and athletics. Facilities include an Action Park for skates and bikes, two volleyball courts, a basketball court, shuffleboard courts, and a combination football/soccer field.
