Montgomery County Community College West Campus is located in Pottstown along College Drive, across from the Schuylkill River Heritage Area headquarters. The college is partnering with the Heritage Area to establish the Schuylkill Riverfront Academic and Heritage Center, featuring environmental science classrooms in a 5,000-square-foot undeveloped section of the 140 College Drive building that houses the Heritage Area offices. That building, owned by the college, includes the Heritage Area’s River of Revolutions Interpretive Center, which serves as a visitor center for the Schuylkill River region.
Montgomery County Community College joined Santa Monica College in October as the first community colleges in the country to achieve the bronze Bicycle Friendly University designation from the League of American Bicyclists. Check out the College’s biking promotional video below!
