The Schuylkill River Greenways map is divided by Trailheads, Trail Towns and Places to Visit.
Located at the confluence of the Wissahickon Creek and Schuylkill River, the Philadelphia Canoe Club’s headquarter is a former mill that was built around 1686-1689.
The Philadelphia Canoe Club has an Annual Open House open to the public in July. This event offers the opportunity to ask PCC members about the club’s activities and to tour the club facility. The organization also offers training courses which include novice whitewater instruction, flatwater instruction, Nescopeck intermediate whitewater training camp, winter pool rolling sessions and sea kayaking lessons.
Membership entitles you to receive a monthly newsletter the CaNews (which you can also subscribe to as a non-member), and gives you full access to club facilities. However, whether or not you decide to become a member, you are encouraged to attend as many club trips as possible. Non-members are welcome at all PCC activities!
