Boathouse row is a National Historic Landmark located along the Schuylkill River. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The stretch is home to a row of 15 Victorian buildings with their own individual histories. Boathouse No. 1, Llyods Hall, is a public facility while the other houses along Boathouse Row are clubs belonging to Schuylkill Navy. In 1858, the Schuylkill Navy was formed making it the oldest amateur athletic governing body in the U.S. Boathouse 15 is home to the Sedgeley Club. Boathouse row host several events and regattas throughout the year including the Abedeen Dad Vail Regatta, Stotesbury Cup and Navy Day Regatta.
